Anthony Titus
Anthony Titus is the founder of Anthony Titus Studio, an interdisciplinary practice that focuses upon the relationships between contemporary art and architecture. Titus received his B.Arch from Cooper Union and an MFA from the University of Chicago. He has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally, which includes two recent solo exhibitions titled “Surface Mining,” Cornell University AAP (2014) and “Marginal Tactics,” University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (2014).
His work has been included in group exhibitions such as Vienna for Arts Sake! curated by Peter Noever (2015), and Accrochage, Friedman Benda (2015). Titus has been exhibited and has participated in other solo and group exhibitions at Bloomberg Financial Headquarters, Art in General, American Contemporary, Pioneer Works, and the James Gallery at the CUNY Graduate Center
Titus currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served as a guest critic, lecturer, and speaker at numerous institutions, including Columbia University, Cornell University, Harvard Graduate School of Design, MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Yale University. Anthony Titus was recently awarded a research grant from Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts for his ongoing research project titled “Twisted Siblings: Relationships Between Contemporary Painting and Digital Architecture.”
