Opening of the Storefront Archive in Industry City for Sf Members

Thursday, August 27th at 6 pm

Followed by a reception at Industry City Distillery

As one of the first alternative spaces in New York dedicated to presenting innovative, provocative work at the intersection of art and architecture, Storefront has accumulated a diverse range of materials documenting its program of exhibitions, performances, publications, and events since its founding in 1982. Featuring works from 1,500+ of the most experimental and thought-provoking architects, artists, and designers, these materials establish narratives of the edge and the radical in contemporary design.

Join us for a special members’ event to celebrate the opening of our archive in Industry City, Brooklyn. The event will feature a selection of materials selected by Chialin Chou, Storefront Curator of Archives and Global Networks.

This will be followed by a private tour and reception hosted by our new neighbors, Industry City Distillery, the only vodka producer in New York City.

Please RSVP to Melissa Weisberg by emailing mw@storefrontnews.org.

The Storefront Archive was made possible in part by a grant from the Documentary Heritage Program of the New York State Archives, a program of the State Education Department, and the generous support of the Council on Library & Information Resources (CLIR).
