The exhibition Metamorphosis showcased three projects by UK- based architects Peter Cook and Christine Hawley. Works in the exhibition included Way Out West, a housing project in Berlin by Cook, and Burnt Iron-Rotting Wood, a housing project designed by Hawley for the London suburb of Peckham. The third project, The Glass Museum, an art center for the town of Lagen, Germany, was designed as a collaboration between the two architects. The exhibition was as much about the model of collaboration proposed by Cook and Hawley as about the buildings themselves: the couple used one another as critics for each other’s individual projects, and frequently collaborated on joint projects.
